28 Black Beauty,
Beauty,
Makeup To celebrate Black History Month, I am doing a series of daily makeup looks featuring black beauties throughout the ages! Each day, I'll post a lovely lady and do a recreation of the makeup look in the photo; this will go on for all 28 days of February/Black History Month.
Day 27: Whitney Houston was the cute bubbly girl next door in the 80s, full of spunk and a with a set of pipes that blew everyone away! I am a sucker for all things 80s, so of course I wanted to recreate her look from then. I already did once before, but it was too shimmery for my tastes and I had to redo it now that I have my matte palette. Big curly hair, wrapped headbands, pinks, blues, purples, oh my! Gotta love those crazy times :)

I took the headband/hair look from her "How Will I Know" video and the makeup from the "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" vid. Hope that you like!
The 88 Matte Palette was used for everything from the eyeshadow to the blush. Used a hot pink, pale mint green, and mid tone blue.
MAC studio sculpt foundation in NW43
MAC Viva Glam Cyndi lipstick with Boots Balmy Beige mixed on top to make it more like the color in the "Dance" video.
