Time to get NAKED!
How excited were we all that the NAKED palette was back in stock? I'm not even a neutrals girl, but I think that the hype sealed its fate on becoming a part of my arsenal (what can I say, I have to have everything beauty oriented that I see). Today I did my first face of the day (fotd) with it and quite liked the colors. My big issue with the palette (and Urban Decay in general) is that I LOOOOVE how pigmented and velvety their shadows are but fallout by them is a mother shut yo mouth! God, you have to wear a towel on the whole bottom half of your face just so that glitter and shadow doesn't start making sweet sweet love to the pores on your cheeks! It's horrid...which is sad, since I love everything else about the UD shadows.
Anyway, the look was a simple one created with primer potion applied, sidecar on the first half of the lid (glittery bronze), darkhorse on the outer corner of the lid (glittery chocolate), and buck swiped above those two colors (matte medium brown) with virgin as the highlight color (satiny cream). Kat Von D Painted Love lipgloss in Hell Bent is on the lips, Revlon Photoready Foundation in Cappucino was used, Maybelline gel liner in blackest black on the top lashline and ELF copper gel liner on lower waterline with Lancome Precious Cells definicils mascara adding the finishing touches.
(on a side note, any beauty bloggers use a really good desktop light for taking makeup photos or doing youtube videos? I find that the ones in my bathroom are bright but are mounted up and don't show makeup detail as beautifully as it does in person. Any recommendations would be swell!)
Do you have the Urban Decay Naked palette? What are your thoughts on it?
